Meet Dr. Riehm
Acacia Endodontics at Ahwatukee acquired the practice of Dr. Rich Riehm in 2012. The practice has been in the same location since 1999. Dr. Riehm continues to provide the same level of patient care that he has for over 15 years as an endodontist.
He started his dental career as a dental technician in the Navy during the Vietnam War. After a degree in Biology in North Dakota, he earned his Dental Degree from the University Of Nebraska Medical Center-College Of Dentistry. Dr. Riehm practiced in North Dakota as a General Dentist in his own private practice. In 1990, he went back into the military during the Gulf War as a Dentist in the U.S. Army stationed at Fort Huachuca, Arizona. While in the U.S. Army, he met his wife, Karen. In 1993 he and his new family transferred to Indian Health Services where he was the Dental Chief at Tohatchi, New Mexico. In 1997, he returned to UNMC for a two year residency in Endodontics receiving his certificate in 1999. The family then moved to Phoenix to open his Ahwatukee Endodontic practice.
Dr. Riehm and his wife, Karen, have 3 grown kids with 3 grandchildren and enjoy grand-parenting! Dr. Riehm, also, enjoys golf, boating, sailing, and swimming. He is currently a member of the American Dental Association and American Association of Endodontists.
